We Bet No One Would Have Noticed This Big Error From The Diary Scene In ‘Kal Ho Naa Ho’

BUY-SELL | HELP WANTED | MATRIMONIAL

I’ve come to realise that there are three kinds of films in this world. One, which completely fails to impress us or add any value to our lives in those 3 hours. Second, which is good as entertainment and serves its purpose of holding our attention for those few hours. And the third and most important ones – which leave an imprint on hearts for years and years to come.

One such movie for most of us Bollywood buffs has been Shah Rukh Khan starrer Kal Ho Naa Ho, a  movie that may still make us sob like babies and dance along to the steps of ‘It’s the time to disco’, no matter how outdated it may seem.

You see, it is movies like these that break past all metrics of logic, sense and believability. Because what they are sold on is pure emotion and acting that was so good, it made us look past even the most obvious mistakes in the plot.

One such mistake from the hit film has recently surfaced after a Twitter user pointed a flaw in one of the most intense scenes of the film. It was when Aman pretends to read out an excerpt from Rohit’s diary, which is actually blank, and delivers a heartfelt and moving monologue about Naina, indirectly professing his own feelings.

SRK was so good in this scene that nobody noticed the continuity error in the close up of the diary.
It is kept on someone’s lap even tho he’s clearly standing. pic.twitter.com/a6f1uW9K05

Twitter user Pulkit Kochar pointed an error in direction as he tweeted, “SRK was so good in this scene that nobody noticed the continuity error in the close up of the diary. It is kept on someone’s lap even tho he’s clearly standing.”

And we hate to break it to you, but he is right.

Apparently the scene had been directed as such that it was shown he was reading the diary out of his lap while in reality, he was standing in the middle of a crowd narrating it.

Scene me error hai ye important nhi hai SRK ne accha perform kiya hai ye important hai

You should watch deleted scenes. Aman was sitting in the deleted scenes & somehow they included small shots from it. however we all agree that we never gave a damn coz we were all crying at that scene

While several users, shocked as we were to have missed seeing it, declared it was ‘time to rewatch’. A lot of other fans of SRK (https://www.mensxp.com/entertainment/bollywood/94948-hollywood-celebrities-who-are-shah-rukh-khan-fans.html) and the movie came to fend for it as they shared how their eyes were too blurred with tears to have noticed anything.

A few fans even managed to tie the two clips to a deleted scene from the movie where Aman is really reading out from Rohit’s diary to Naina and a group of elders and indirectly professes his own feelings for her.

As far as we are concerned, we will try to re-watch the movie although we can’t promise not crying!
