We won’t allow comedian Munwar Faruqui’s shows in Gujarat, says Bajrang Dal, threatens organisers

Hindutva group Bajrang Dal on Sunday said that it will not allow comedian Munawar Faruqui to perform in Gujarat. The comedian had announced a “Gujarat Tour” on his official Instagram handle on September 12. He is scheduled to perform in Surat on October 1, Ahmedabad on October 2 and Vadodara on October 3. Coronavirus: India records 26,041 new cases, 8% lower than Sunday’s count

India on Monday registered 26,041 new coronavirus cases, which took the total number of infections in the country since the outbreak of the pandemic in January last year to 3,36,78,786. Monday’s tally was 8% lower than Sunday’s count of 28,326 cases. The number of deaths due to Covid-19 in India rose to 4,47,194 with 276 more fatalities in the last day.
