Two Indian American Women Amongst Harvard Goldsmith Fellows

`BOSTON, MS – Nikita Ramanujam and Monami Chakraborty are among the 11 recipients of Horace W. Goldsmith Fellowships announced by the Harvard Business School.

Ramanujam has been a fourth-grade teacher in the Oakland Unified School District in Oakland, Calif. She built her school’s first data-driven framework for allocating academic and mental health services.

During Covid, she led plans across the districts for learning for 15,000 students and safety plans for students to receive food as well as academic material.

Monami Chakraborty has been working with Dasra, a strategic philanthropy foundation that has improved development outcomes for over 30 million Indians.

Established in 1988, the Goldsmith Fellowships enable the school to award $10,000 to select a number of incoming MBA students
