Hyderabad: A 27-year-old woman, the caretaker in a school in Barkas in the Old City, who sexually abused and also used a lit cigarette on a minor boy in the school washroom, was sentenced to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment, on Thursday.
The sentence was pronounced by the special court for POCSO Act cases here while delivering the judgment on the case, based on the gruesome incident that happened in Chandrayangutta in November 2017. The court also imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 on the woman. The convicted woman, K Jyothi alias Manjula (27), molested the child when he went to relieve himself in the washroom.
