The New iPad Mini May Just Be The Perfect Tablet Apple Has Ever Made And Here’s Why

BUY-SELL | HELP WANTED | MATRIMONIAL

Apple announced the latest iPad mini that comes with an all-screen design and emulates the design of its larger brethren i.e. the iPad Pro lineup. It’s the iPad mini we all wanted as it’s neither too big nor too small for the average user. The new iPad mini comes with an 8.3-inch Liquid Retina display and is powered by Apple’s latest A15 Bionic chipset.

Apple claims that the new chipset is 40% faster in performance than the previous generation which would bring the iPad mini at par with the iPad Pro or it could even be better at performance. The iPad mini also supports accessories such as the second-generation Apple Pencil so that you can use the tablet for creative work or taking notes in school. Other features such as Center Stage also make their way to the tablet thanks to the 12-megapixel Ultra Wide selfie camera that has a 122-degree field of view. Center Stage is perfect for attending calls on Zoom, FaceTime and other services that you might be taking part in for work.

Other changes include the USB-C port which means you can connect the iPad mini to an array of accessories just like the iPad Pro. It’s perfect for photographers, graphic designers or even the average user who may use the port to display a larger image on an external monitor. Other meaningful updates include a fingerprint sensor on the power button, Face ID support and a beautiful display to watch content on.

While the iPad mini does not connect with a magic keyboard, it’s still the most portable and powerful tablet right now. Technically, the iPad mini is capable of handling almost everything you throw at it and then some. For users who wanted a tablet smaller than the iPad Pro but large enough to use it as a canvas, the iPad mini fits the bill perfectly.

Apart from the performance improvements, the iPad mini will also ship with iPadOS 15 out of the box. This means the tablet will be able to do everything the iPad Pro is capable of including:

New widget layouts for the Home Screen and App Library offer simple ways to personalise iPad mini and organise apps.Notes goes systemwide with Quick Note, and offers new ways to collaborate and organise, whether typing or writing with Apple Pencil. The Translate app comes to iPad with new features that make conversations easier and more natural, including Auto Translate and face-to-face view.Multitasking is even more intuitive, making features like Split View and Slide Over easier to discover, easier to use, and more powerful.Live Text uses on-device intelligence to recognise text in a photo and allow users to take action. For example, a snapshot of a storefront may reveal a phone number and the option to place a call.Focus lets users automatically filter notifications based on what they’re currently doing, such as working, reading, exercising, playing games, or sleeping.FaceTime calls feel more natural with spatial audio and a new Portrait mode. And now, Group FaceTime provides the option to display participants in same-size tiles in a new grid view.

The iPad mini is available for pre-order in India now where the WiFi model is available with a starting price of Rs 46,900. Wi-Fi + Cellular models start at Rs 60,900. The new iPad mini is available in 64GB and 256GB configurations and in pink, starlight, purple, and space grey finishes.
