Delhi and its neighbouring areas in the National Capital Region woke up to heavy rainfall and thunderstorms on Sunday morning. The weather department predicted that this condition will prevail till around 9.15 am in several cities of Uttar Pradesh and Haryana too. In 1970, Father Placido Fonseca became director of Snehasadan, a Jesuit initiative in Mumbai aimed at helping street children find their feet and their dignity. Coronavirus: India records 41,831 new infections in the last 24 hours, active cases rise by 2,032

India on Sunday recorded 41,831 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours taking the country’s tally of cases to 3,16,55,824 since the pandemic broke out in January last year. This is marginally higher than Saturday’s count of 41,469 cases. With 541 deaths, the toll rose to 4,24,351. The number of active cases went up by 2,032 to 4,10,952.
