HI INDIA NEWS DESK
NAPERVILLE, IL – ISKCON Naperville is performing Fire Sacrifice (Hari Nama Maha Yagna) for relief in the current COVID situation on May 15. On the same day, it will also start construction of the new temple, to benefit of future generations!!
ISKCON Naperville’s Radha Shyamasundar Temple of Naperville starts its Phase 2 construction of the main Temple building on May 15, 2021!! The temple has been one of the key asks for the community in the Naperville area for years. On this occasion, we would like to invite you to come join us!

The new temple is expected to be the biggest and most beautiful of the ISKCON temples in the midwest region. As a part of a phased approach, Phase 2 will succeed Phase 1 of the temple, which includes paved parking and underground utilities for the temple. You can see pictures of the Phase 1 development at https://www.iskconnaperville.org/phase-1-pictures/
The temple’s altar hall can accommodate over 650 devotees. Additionally, the temple will have a 250-person grand hall for important community/family events, a pure vegetarian restaurant, a commercial-grade kitchen, classrooms for children, and multiple rooms for yoga, and other community activities. The temple will offer lectures on bonafide scriptures, kirtans (singing devotional songs in a group), scriptural classes for children, yoga, and expand its community outreach initiatives like Food For Life (providing sanctified food for the needy at homeless shelters).

The event on May 15 will have Hari Nama Yagna (Fire Sacrifice) accompanied with wonderful kirtan performances and guest lectures from prominent speakers. This will be followed by a free vegetarian feast. It would be a great opportunity for you to meet with members of the congregation and understand how this temple can help address your spiritual needs to deal with the everyday stresses and strains of modern-day life. It would also provide you with a wide variety of ongoing opportunities to engage at the temple, depending on your areas of interest.

The event will be at 1505 McDowell Rd, Naperville, IL 60563 from 12 noon – 5 pm. We will follow all government-recommended guidelines related to COVID.
