IPL gets a new COO

Mumbai, July 22: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Saturday appointed Hemang Amin as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the Indian Premier League (IPL).Earlier Amin was the general manager -- finance, commercial and events at BCCI. DOUGLASTON, NY -- A rare 100-pound tortoise that could be a century old has been stolen from a wildlife center on Northern Boulevard.The tortoise, Millennium, was taken from his home at the Alley Pond Environmental Center at 228-06 Northern Blvd sometime between July 16 and 17 afternoons. NY couple sued again for fake jewelry scam

NEW YORK, NY -- An Indian American couple who has been accused of scamming a New York philanthropist into spending millions on fake jewelry is now being sued by a financial executive, also in Manhattan, for the same scam.Nisha Sabharwal and her husband Mohit Sabharwal have been sued by Sonia Toledo for allegedly tricking her into spending $1 million on fake jewelry.
