Indian woman shot, husband arrested

SAN JOSE, CA — An Indian American woman was shot dead in the wee hours of April 30 in her San Jose, Calif., home.

Her husband has been arrested.

The shooting was reported around 12:45 a.m. on April 30 at the home on Indigo Oak Lane, off Yerba Buena Rd. Officers arrived to find Sonia Nallan, 48, suffering from at least one gunshot wound.

The San Jose police said she was rushed to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

A neighbor who lived across the street said he was returning home from a party in the early morning hours on Saturday, when he encountered police activity in the area.
