Cyclonic storm Nanauk to intensify

New Delhi, June 11 (IANS) Cyclonic storm Nanauk formed Wednesday over the eastcentral Arabian Sea, said a statement from the ministry of earth sciences.The storm was formed near latitude 16.70 N and longitude 67.00 E, about 670 km west-southwest of Mumbai, 590 km south-southwest of Veraval and 960 km east-southeast of Masirah Island (Oman), the statement said Wednesday evening. DU receives over 1.9 lakh applications till Wednesday

New Delhi, June 11 (IANS) Delhi University received applications from over 1.9 lakh students for its four-year undergraduate programme till Wednesday, the ninth day of admission process for 54,000 seats in 61 colleges, an official statement said.A total of 192,433 applications (both online and offline) have been received so far, the Delhi University statement said. ‘Facebook most preferred social networking medium for urban teens’

Kolkata, June 11 (IANS) Despite a drop in the percentage, Facebook continues to be the preferred social networking playground for teenagers in India's metros and other big cities, according to a survey.Seventy-six percent of teenagers spread across 14 Indian cities had a Facebook account in 2014, though the figure was 86 percent in 2012, said the survey conducted by Tata Consultancy Services (TCS).
