South Africa 213/6, trail India by 67 runs

Johannesburg, Dec 19 (IANS) South Africa were 213 for six at stumps, trailing India by 67 runs, on day two of the first Test at the Wanderers here Thursday.Vernon Philander and Faf du Plessis were batting on 48 and 17 respectively. South African captain Graeme Smith scored 68. Fast bowler Ishant Sharma was the pick of the Indian bowlers, taking three for 64. India, resuming at 255 for five, were bowled out for 280 in the first hour of the morning session.

Rs.1,199 crore capital infused into IOB

Chennai, Dec 19: The central government increased its holding in the city based Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) by just over five percent to 79.01 percent, infusing additional capital amounting to Rs.1,199.99 crore, the bank said on Thursday.A statement issued by IOB here said the Indian government has infused Rs.1,199.99 crore as additional equity capital and accordingly, necessary shares have been allotted.
